An Air Europa Boeing 787 Dreamliner is already taking to the skies with the name of Lanzarote and the slogan 'A Unique Island' on the rear of its fuselage, after a collaboration between this airline and SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote.
The new president of the Lanzarote Cabildo and the Minister of Tourism, Oswaldo Betancort, highlighted today (Monday) the impact of this campaign "that will promote the image of Lanzarote and the brand values associated with the main international airports to improve the promotion and positioning of the island in premium holiday destination markets.”
The Air Europa plane will bear the name of Lanzarote on more than 70 long-haul routes it has scheduled each month. The name of the island is also associated with an aircraft that consumes 20% less fuel and generates fewer carbon emissions than any other aircraft of a similar size, something that will reinforce the Cabildo's commitment to the environment and sustainability.
Within the terms of the co-marketing agreement between Air Europa and SPEL Turismo Lanzarote, there was also the christening of the plane with the name César Manrique-Lanzarote which was held in March.
