A man has died following a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a car on the TF-47 in Adeje, Tenerife, on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 2.24 pm at kilometre point 4 of the road.
The emergency services received reports that two people required medical assistance after the crash and were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics confirmed the death of the motorcyclist due to the severity of his injuries. They also attended to a woman who had been travelling in the car, who suffered a minor chest injury. She was stabilised and taken by ambulance to the Quirón Costa Adeje Hospital for further treatment.
The Guardia Civil secured the scene and prepared a report to clarify how the accident happened.
This latest tragedy comes during a worrying month for road safety in the Canary Islands. In recent weeks, there have been several serious accidents across Tenerife, including a cyclist injured on the TF-5 in La Matanza and a motorcyclist hurt in a multi-vehicle collision near Guaza on the TF-1.
On the same day, another motorcyclist, aged 62, was taken to hospital following a crash involving several vehicles close to Arona. These incidents highlight the ongoing dangers on the islands’ busiest roads and have once again raised calls for drivers to take extra care.
