The National Police have arrested a 48-year-old man, with a prior criminal record, on suspicion of drug trafficking after an investigation revealed that the suspect was selling drugs near his home and inside his nightclub in Lanzarote.
According to a statement from the National Police, officers conducted two searches, one at the suspect’s apartment in Arrecife and another at the nightclub, after an investigation led them to believe he was selling drugs, and after obtaining the correct judicial warrant.
These searches resulted in the seizure of over 200 grams of cocaine, prepared in wraps to sell, over €4,000 in cash, and a van in the man’s name.
Following the operation, the nightclub owner was arrested for alleged drug trafficking and has been placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority for sentencing.
