The driver of a car was seriously injured yesterday afternoon (Monday), in an accident in Lanzarote leaving him trapped inside the vehicle and needing to be cut out by the fire brigade before he could be treated.
According to reports from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies, the accident happened at around 6:30pm on the LZ-401 in Muñique, and only involved the one car.
Upon receiving an alert, the emergency services rushed to the location given, where they found a man trapped inside the crashed vehicle. After the fire brigade had successfully extracted him from the vehicle, SUC medical personnel stabilised him and the transferred him to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital by ambulance for urgent medical assistance
Following this, the crashed vehicle was removed and the road was cleaned to restore traffic flow in the affected area, while the Guardia Civil completed the corresponding report to establish the cause of the accident.
