Knife-wielding thief flees to Fuerteventura after robbing Lanzarote Hotel

Two people have been arrested for an armed robbery at a hotel in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, where they stole €18,750 while wearing masks and wielding a knife.

They have been at large since the incident took place in September 2024, according to the Guardia Civil.

The suspects, aged 38 and 40, have been charged with robbery with violence, and a third person, aged 27, has also been arrested on charges of receiving stolen goods, as she is believed to be the partner of one of the robbers and to have benefited from the stolen money.

Following a lengthy investigation, the Guardia Civil successfully apprehended the suspects, one of them in Fuerteventura, and recovered most of the stolen money and other items. The third suspect, the partner of one of the robbers, was also detained along with the second perpetrator.
