FRIDAY’S WEATHER: Scattered showers with stable temperatures across the Canary Islands

The Spanish Met Office (AEMET) are forecasting cloudy intervals for the Canary Islands today, Friday, with predominantly overcast skies in the northern regions of mountainous islands. Light, scattered, and occasional rain is expected in these areas.

As Storm Garoé continues to weaken, La Palma remains the only island under a yellow weather alert for rain.

Temperatures are expected to show little change, although slight drops in minimum values may occur. Winds will come from the northeast, intensifying on the southeastern and northwestern slopes of the mountainous islands during the afternoon.

Maritime conditions will see northerly or northeasterly winds ranging from Force 3 to 6, accompanied by moderate to rough seas. A northwest swell of 3 to 4 metres is expected, decreasing to 2 to 3 metres later in the day.
