There has been a happy ending to the search for Zinedine M., the 20-year-old whose disappearance was reported on 8th August 2025 in Playa de Almáciga, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Authorities confirmed that the young man has been found safe and well, bringing relief to his family and the local community.
His mother, who travelled from France to Tenerife as soon as the disappearance was reported, has now been reunited with her son.
The case attracted significant concern in Tenerife, particularly in the Anaga region, where volunteers and officials joined the search effort after his disappearance was made public.
No further details have been released about the circumstances of his disappearance, but officials stressed the importance of public collaboration in missing persons cases and thanked those who assisted in sharing alerts.
Zinedine’s case is the latest in a series of missing person reports in Tenerife this year that have ended with positive outcomes. In February, British holidaymaker Liam Hannigan, 34, from Salford, was found safe after vanishing during his trip to the island, while in December last year, Paul Wrigglesworth, 60, who disappeared from Los Cristianos, was located alive in a local hospital after more than two weeks missing.
Other cases include Kris Finney, 31, from Lancashire, who was discovered unharmed just days after being reported missing earlier this year.
