A 40-year-old cyclist was injured this morning after colliding with a car at the Guaza roundabout in Arona, in the south of Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
They received an alert just after 9:15am this morning, informing them of the accident and requesting help for the athlete following the accident on the TF-66 road.
CECOES immediately dispatched medical personnel and the Guardia Civil, who assessed the cyclist at the side of the ride, verifying that he had an ‘upper body trauma’ for which he was transferred to the Hospital del Sur for further treatment.
In the meantime, the Guardia Civil coordinated the traffic and issued the relevant report for the emergency services.
