Two injured in multi-vehicle collision at Lanzarote Airport

An accident involving three vehicles near Terminal T1 of Lanzarote Airport in the early hours of Friday morning, left two people injured requiring medical assistance and caused traffic disruptions in the area.

The emergency services were alerted by the airport and response teams from the Lanzarote Safety and Emergency Consortium were quickly dispatched to the scene, and paramedics treated two people for various ‘moderate’ injuries before taking them to hospital for further treatment.

After receiving clearance from police officers on site, the fire brigade proceeded to clean the road, disconnect the vehicles’ batteries to prevent further hazards, and assist with the removal of the damaged cars. Their coordinated efforts helped restore traffic flow in the vicinity of the airport.

The Guardia Civil, Local Police, and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) also attended the scene, ensuring the safety of everyone involved and managing the affected area. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
