Two children aged 3 and 6 injured in a car accident in the south of Tenerife

Two young children, aged 3 and 6 years old, were injured last night (Thursday) in a car accident in the town of Guía de Isora in the south of Tenerife.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:30pm on Avenida de Isora and involved a front-side collision between two vehicles.

According to the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES), SUC medical teams were dispatched to the location given to provide immediate assistance to the injured youngsters.

According to their report, the three-year-old child suffered moderate cervical pain, while the six-year-old sustained a moderate injury to a lower limb. Both were stabilised on-site and transported by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for further treatment.

Local Police officers took charge of the investigation and have begun processing the necessary reports to determine the circumstances of the collision.

Authorities have not provided further details on the cause of the accident, but the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and vigilance, particularly during nighttime driving.
