Yellow weather warnings activated for rain, snow, and storms

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated yellow warnings for rain, snow, and storms in four of the Canary Islands starting from midnight tonight.

Specifically, the risk of snow will affect the central islands, i.e. Tenerife and Gran Canaria, from around around 1,700 metres.

As for the rainfall, which could become intense and are expected to be accompanied by some isolated storms; warnings have been activated in the easternmost islands, i.e. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

The snow warnings are initially in place from midnight until 9am when 2cm of snow is expected, and the warnings for rain and storms are active from 9am to 8pm, which could easily be extended.
