WEATHER: Possible snow in Tenerife and La Palma this Friday

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecast for today, Friday, shows a mix of weather across the Canary Islands with generally clear skies in the eastern islands, haze across all of the islands, possible showers in Gran Canaria and the western islands, and some snow at altitude in the peaks of Tenerife and La Palma.

There is no change in temperatures with highs in the lows 20’s and a chilly 13 or 14°C tonight, with a light to moderate easterly wind which will be more intense in the more mountainous islands, calmer sea conditions with smaller waves and less swell, and sunset tonight at 6:48pm.

General: Slightly cloudy or clear in the south with a light haze, more cloudy on the east slope, and north and west slopes from noon. Scattered showers inland, and snow on high peaks.

LANZAROTE:
General: Clear and sunny but chilly with light haze and some clouds inland.
Humidity: 65%
Precipitation: 5% - no rain forecast.
Wind: Light, 14km/h from the east.
Temperatures: Maximum 19°C and minimum 13°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:
General: Clear and sunny but chilly with light haze and some clouds inland.
Humidity: 68%
Precipitation: 2% - No rain forecast.
Wind: Moderate, 19km/h from the northeast.
