VIDEO: Driving licence update by the British Ambassador
The British Ambassador for Spain, Hugh Elliott, has uploaded a video to update Brits in Spain, including the Canary Islands about the latest negotiations regarding changing your UK licence for a Spanish one.
The deadline passed earlier this year to swap it, and now many British residents find themselves not allowed to drive legally without taking a Spanish driving test.
In the video, Mr Elliott explains why the process is taking longer than expected, even though only a couple of annex points need finalising as the main ‘body’ of the agreement has been completed, and why you can’t drive during this period. Watch to find out more:
