Three tremors detected between Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura in an hour
The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has reported they detected three tremors yesterday morning (Saturday) between the islands of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, which have occurred in just one hour, at 10:56am, 11:39am and 11:55am.
The most significant of them, was the first one, which measured a magnitude of 3.2 mbLg, and occurred at a depth of just 5 kilometres underground.
The other two were weaker and had similar magnitudes of 2.1 and 2.2, and were detected at depths of 7 and 17 kilometres, according to IGN data.
Likewise, and as frequently happens, five tremors were detected during the day between the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, although all of them have had a magnitude of less than 2.
