The Canary Islands Government has ended the alert for high temperatures in Gran Canaria and the pre-alert in the rest of the islands that began last Thursday, although it maintains the warning for the risk of forest fires.
According to the AEMET weather forecast for today, Monday, it will be a clear and sunny day in the south of the islands today, with some cloudy intervals in the north of the mountainous islands, and some low clouds in the north of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura early in the morning and later in the day.
Temperatures will decrease slightly, especially in interior areas of the islands, but will still be 25 degrees or higher in most areas.
There will also be a northeast wind, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, and a moderate to strong north wind on the eastern islands this afternoon.
AEMET also confirms that the weather in the Canary Islands will start to become unstable from tomorrow, Tuesday, due to a storm forming to the north of the archipelago that will cause widespread rains on the islands.
They expect temperatures to drop a few degrees between tomorrow and Thursday in the Archipelago, which will be accompanied by showers on all of the islands.
