Temperatures will drop for the next few days in the Canary Islands

After a few days of rain, temperatures have been scorching in the Canary Islands, but according to AEMET weather forecasts they are going to drop for a few days, but will still reach almost 30 degrees in some areas.

Their forecast for today, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro), shows that it will be cloudy in the northeast of the islands for most of the day, clear in the west, and some patchy clouds in the east and south.

Temperatures will be slightly lower today which will be more noticeable in high areas, but thermometers will oscillate between a maximum of 29 degrees in Tenerife and a minimum of 17 degrees in El Hierro.

There will only be a light wind from the north which could be more intense in the northeast and in the extreme northwest of the islands. Only breezes are forecast on south and western coasts.

In the province of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura) the forecast shows that there will be cloudy intervals in the north of Gran Canaria during the central hours of the day, but in the rest of the island, only light clouds or clear blue skies.

AEMET are forecasting that it will be clear and sunny in the south of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with some cloudy intervals in other areas.

As for temperatures, they will be lower than in the west with highs of 26 degrees and a minimum of 22 degrees.

Lastly, the wind will be from the north, being more intense on the east and west slopes; and with just breezes on the north and south coasts.
