Spring Gastro Lovers, the prestigious gastronomic event organised by Tenerife-based Spring Hotels at the Arona Gran Hotel in Los Cristianos, has firmly established itself as an unmissable occasion for food enthusiasts.

Each year, the event dazzles attendees with the creations of renowned chefs from across Spain, offering unforgettable dining experiences at the hotel's Jarea restaurant.

This year's edition featured the esteemed Galician chef Pepe Solla, who holds a Michelin star and three Repsol suns at his restaurant, Casa Solla. With a profound connection to the sea and its bounty, Solla’s Atlantic-inspired cuisine resonates strongly with the Canary Islands.

His specially curated menu reflected his roots while elevating the dining experience through his masterful handling of fresh ingredients, which became the true stars of the evening in southern Tenerife.

More than 40 guests attended this exclusive event to savour the culinary artistry of one of Spain’s top chefs. The menu featured a selection of exquisite dishes, including: cured scallop in kombu with a bivalve and seaweed broth; cockles with apple and meunière sauce; sea urchins and codium; catch of the day with its own emulsion and a salad of halophyte leaves; pork jowl with cabbage cannelloni and broth; and for dessert, Camellia tea with citrus and a Santiago cake bonbon.

More Than a Dinner, a Unique Experience

Spring Gastro Lovers offers more than just a dinner at the Jarea restaurant, which boasts stunning sea views, it is a full sensory experience. The evening began on Saturday afternoon with a gathering on the hotel’s rooftop, UP!, where guests enjoyed live music and a tasting of Gran Claustro cava from Perelada.

The wine pairing for the degustation menu was provided by two esteemed local wineries, El Lomo and Viñátigo, reflecting Spring Hotels' commitment to local products and producers.

Expressing his delight, Solla highlighted the “strong connection between Galicia and the Canary Islands through the Atlantic Ocean,” emphasising the “unforgettable gastronomic evening” that unfolded with the support of Spring Hotels.

With top-tier cuisine, exceptional wine pairings, live music, and the unparalleled atmosphere of southern Tenerife, Spring Gastro Lovers continues to establish itself as one of the most anticipated events of the year for lovers of fine dining.
