Storm Regina disrupts flights at Tenerife North Airport
Adverse weather caused by Storm Regina disrupted operations at Tenerife North Airport yesterday, Tuesday, forcing two flights to divert to alternative airports.
According to airport operator AENA, difficult weather conditions linked to the storm affected flight operations at the airport, located in La Laguna.
One flight arriving from Asturias was unable to land and had to divert to Gran Canaria Airport, while another flight from Barcelona was redirected to Tenerife South Airport.
Despite the disruption, airport authorities continue to monitor conditions closely as unsettled weather linked to the storm continues to affect parts of the archipelago, and say that more diversions are possible today as storm conditions continue.
