Four people were injured yesterday afternoon (Saturday) when a driver lost control of his vehicle and plowed through the terrace of a bar at the San Sebastián pier in La Gomera.
The incident took place at approximately 5:54pm yesterday when the vehicle struck several people who were seated on the terrace, including a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman who suffered physical injuries, and a 53-year-old woman and a 16-year-old, who experienced anxiety attacks.
All four were taken by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital in San Sebastian for further treatment and routine observation, while the Guardia Civil have opened an investigation with the Port Authority into the cause of the accident.
