Five islands have weather warnings and Tenerife is forecast frost and ice

AEMET have updated their weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (Thursday), which includes frost and ice in parts of Tenerife, and the extension of yellow weather warnings in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro, until Friday.

Specifically, the yellow warnings have affected four Canary Islands today (Wednesday), five on Thursday, and two on Friday for strong winds and adverse sea conditions, and for now, only Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are spared from these phenomena.

Here is tomorrow’s weather forecast:
LANZAROTE: Slightly cloudy skies with little change to temperatures with a high of 19°C and a low of 14°C, and a moderate to strong northeasterly wind.

FUERTEVENTURA: Cloudy in the morning with sunny intervals. Little change temperatures with a high of 20°C and a low of 17°C. Moderate to strong northeasterly wind.

GRAN CANARIA: In the north, cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered showers inland during the first half of the day. In the rest of the island, slightly cloudy skies with sunny spells. Moderate to strong northeast wind, with gusts exceeding 70 – 75 km/h on summits and on the southeast and northwest slopes. Temperatures will reach a high of 20°C and a low of 17°C

TENERIFE: Cloudy in general across the island except for more sunny spells in the southwest. Scattered showers are not ruled out during the first half of the day, nor are frosts and some ice at altitude in central peaks.
Northeast wind, which will be more intense on the southeast slope, and the extreme northwest and western façade of the metropolitan area, where gusts exceeding 70 – 75 km/h will be likely. Breezes on the west coast. Maximum and minimum temperatures of 21°C and a low of 17°C.
