AEMET extend weather warnings until Tuesday that now include all islands

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have extended the current weather warnings for high winds and adverse sea conditions until Tuesday, and have now included Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

Lanzarote already has a yellow weather warning for strong gusts of wind over 75 kilometres per hour, and Fuerteventura is currently in pre-warning before having the same activated on Tuesday which will mainly affect inland and southern areas.

The return of the trade winds is having a strong effect on the Canary Islands after two months of relative calm. According to all forecasts, they will continue to blow until at least Saturday, so it is not ruled out that more warnings will be activated again next week.
