Fire-fighters from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria had to rescue driver of an out of service bus that left the road and crashed into a tree on the Carretera General del Norte, in the capital of Gran Canaria.
The accident occurred around 2:00pm yesterday afternoon and left the driver trapped inside the vehicle after the accident. He was released from it by the emergency services and transferred immediately to the Hospital Doctor Negrín in a serious condition.
A video posted on Twitter by the Bomberos (firemen) of Las Palmas shows the bus after the accident before it was removed from the tree:

The scene of the accident was attended to by agents of the Local Police of Las Palmas, who were the first to intervene, and two SUC ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Services.
