Three motorcyclists taken to hospital after collision with car in south Tenerife

Three motorcyclists were taken to hospital after a collision involving their bikes and a car in south Tenerife yesterday (Saturday), at 12.45pm on the TF-21, the road runs from Granadilla to Teide National Park

Two of the riders, both men, suffered moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Hospiten Sur for further treatment. A third man sustained minor injuries and was transferred by a Red Cross ambulance to Hospital del Sur for routine observation.

Police managed traffic at the scene

Guardia Civil officers controlled traffic and recorded the circumstances of the collision. Road maintenance crews also attended to mark the scene and clear the carriageway.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed, and the emergency report does not give the riders’ ages or nationalities.

Take care on inland roads

For residents and visitors exploring Tenerife by car or motorcycle, bends and changing road conditions require particular care. Leave enough space to stop within the distance you can see, avoid overtaking where visibility is restricted and allow extra room around motorcycles.

Anyone encountering an accident should stop only where it is safe, avoid putting themselves in the path of traffic and call 112, giving the road number, kilometre marker and direction of travel where possible.
