Injured man in his 20’s taken to hospital after street fight in Lanzarote

A man in his early 20’s, was taken to hospital this morning (Sunday) after being injured during a street fight in Lanzarote.

The incident was reported at 6.05am on Calle Manolo Millares in Arrecife. The man had a cut to his back and was assessed by medical staff as having a ‘moderate’ injury.

The Canary Islands Emergency Service sent a medicalised ambulance and a basic life-support ambulance. Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.

National Police and Arrecife Local Police also attended. Officers secured the area and began enquiries.

No further details have been released about what led to the fight, how the man was injured or whether anyone else was involved. The current information available does not identify a weapon or report any arrests, but an enquiry is ongoing.
