The Guardia Civil are investigating two suspects accused of stealing a high-end car and items from inside various other vehicles, valued at more than 4,000 euros, in the south of Tenerife.
In addition, they are linked to a case of fraud as they allegedly used a credit card, which they had stolen from one of the vehicles, according to a police press release.
Six people, all residents of the town of Abades, reported that the contents of their cars had been stolen after thieves broke a window to get in. Among the stolen items reported were tools, cash, chargers, identification documents, and bank cards.
At the same time, another victim reported that their car, a high-end luxury vehicle, had also been stolen from the same location.
Officers from the main station in Granadilla de Abona managed to identify the alleged perpetrators of the thefts, who are two males with numerous criminal records for similar offences, who had just been arrested by the National Police for other incidents.
The detainees are being investigated for two vehicle thefts, one case of fraud, and six offences of theft from inside vehicles with forced entry.
