Police arrest the ringleader of ‘home delivery drug service’ known as Teledrug

A 23-year-old man, known to authorities for his prior criminal activity, has been arrested by the National Police in Fuerteventura on suspicion of leading a home-delivery drug distribution network, operating under the name "teledrug".

The arrest took place on April 4th during a routine police patrol in Puerto Rosario. Officers identified him as the ringleader of the operation and moved in to detain him.

Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect attempted to flee with another person, discarding a set of keys in the process. These keys would later prove instrumental to the investigation.

Following the incident, the National Police obtained judicial authorisation to search a 40-foot container that the discarded keys opened, revealing a drug lab. The search yielded a significant quantity of illegal substances, as well as tools commonly used in the preparation and distribution of narcotics.

Items seized included 44.56 grams of hashish pollen, 5.94 grams of cocaine, 4.32 grams of crack cocaine, 17 drug-laced cigarettes, and €70 in cash.

Specialised equipment believed to have been used in the handling and packaging of the drugs was also found at the site, reinforcing suspicions that the location was actively used as part of the wider drug distribution network.

The suspect was taken into custody on charges of drug trafficking. After undergoing standard police procedures, he was brought before the judicial authorities for further proceedings. Investigations are ongoing as police work to dismantle the remainder of the distribution network.
