The Canary Islands will have another calima and haze later in the week

According to AEMET, the State Meteorological Agency, from Thursday the islands will experience a new calima coming in from the east, which will bring haze to the Archipelago at the end of the week and over the weekend. Until then, the weather will remain pretty stable, staying the same as it is now with few changes.

They also released a report for February yesterday, which shows that February was a "very hot month in the Canary Islands", being 1.3°C hotter than normal, and places it as the eighth warmest February since 1961. As far as rainfall is concerned, it was classed a "normal" month.

As a general forecast for today, Tuesday, cloudy skies will prevail in the north of the more mountainous islands, and in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura it will tend to be cloudier in the afternoon.

In Tenerife, there is little probability of weak and occasional showers at altitude and on the southwestern slopes of the island with clouds in the middle of the day.

Temperatures will remain stable, although a slight increase in the maximum and a slight decrease in the minimum are not ruled out, and a light to moderate northeast wind will blow, being somewhat more intense in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and in general, breezes on the south and southwest coasts.
