A light haze will linger across the Canary Islands today, Thursday, with occasional strong gusts of wind and a slight increase in temperatures, according to the latest weather forecasts from AEMET.

At sea, winds will also come from the north-east, occasionally shifting easterly, with strengths between force 3 and 6 depending on the area. Conditions will be rough, with moderate to heavy swells and a northerly sea running at 1 to 2 metres.

Please note:
It’s important to remember that the Canary Islands are full of microclimates due to the mountainous areas. This means all forecasts and temperatures are general for the island, and not location specific. It will generally be cooler at altitude up mountains, and warmer in sheltered coastal areas, and can be very different just a few kilometres away.
