The Canary Islands are set to experience partly cloudy skies with a light haze today (Tuesday), as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). The weather will feature clear to partly cloudy conditions with some high clouds appearing in the afternoon. A light haze, particularly affecting the midlands and high-altitude areas, is expected to gradually clear throughout the day.

Maximum temperatures may see a slight to moderate increase, particularly in elevated areas, accompanied by moderate to occasionally strong northeasterly winds.

Sea Conditions:

The sea will experience a northeastern wind ranging from force 5 to 6, potentially reaching force 7 offshore in the central islands. Rough to strong swells are expected, with a northerly swell reaching heights of one to two meters.

Lanzarote:

Expect cloudy intervals with generally high temperatures. The north will see low clouds in the early and late hours, with light haze at higher altitudes that will gradually dissipate. Temperatures will mostly remain steady, with slight decreases in maximum temperatures in inland areas. Moderate northeast winds are anticipated.

Fuerteventura:

Generally high clouds with low cloud intervals during the early and late hours. Light haze at higher altitudes will gradually clear. Temperatures will remain stable, with slight decreases in maximums on the western side. Moderate northeast winds are expected. 
Temperatures: 21°C (min) / 28°C (max)

Gran Canaria: 

High cloud intervals are expected, with low clouds on the northern coast in the early and late hours. Light haze may affect midlands and high areas but will clear as the day progresses. Coastal temperatures will remain steady, while inland areas might see slight increases in minimum temperatures and slight decreases in maximums, especially on peaks and midlands facing south and west, where temperatures could reach 30-32°C, and locally up to 34°C.

Moderate northeast winds with occasional strong gusts on southeast and northwest slopes in the late hours, and breezes on the southwest coast. Peaks will have light variable winds trending towards the north.

Tenerife:

High cloud intervals are expected, with low clouds on the northeast coast in the early and late hours. Light haze will likely affect midlands and high areas but will gradually clear. Coastal temperatures will remain largely unchanged, while inland areas might see slight increases in minimum temperatures and slight decreases in maximums. The west and south could see temperatures reaching 30-32°C.

Moderate northeast winds with occasional strong intervals on the southeast and extreme northwest coasts during early and late hours, with breezes on the west coast. Central peaks will experience light southerly winds.
