The Canary Islands will enjoy another largely clear and calm day today, Monday, with only occasional cloud in northern and western areas and light to moderate winds across the archipelago. Temperatures remain stable with slight local increases, according to forecasts from the national weather service, AEMET.
Top temperatures will reach 23°C in Tenerife and the western islands, and 22°C in Gran Canaria and the eastern islands, with mild nights across the archipelago. Winds will blow from the north or northwest, generally light but becoming moderate in exposed areas and at altitude.
Maritime conditions remain manageable, with variable winds of force 1–4, slight to moderate seas, and a northwest swell of 2–4 metres depending on the area.
Below is the full island-by-island outlook for Monday 9th February 2026:
Lanzarote
Lanzarote begins the day with notable cloud in the north and west, particularly around Haría, Órzola, and Famara. These clouds are expected to break into intervals by midday, improving visibility and sunshine.
Tourist areas in the centre and south — Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca — will enjoy mostly sunny conditions, with only some brief night-time cloud earlier on.
Temperatures remain stable with slight warming inland. Winds will be moderate from the northwest, shifting to north later in the afternoon.
Temperature range: Low of 16°C and high of 22°C.
Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura sees a similar setup, with the north and west — Corralejo, El Cotillo, La Oliva — starting cloudy before conditions brighten significantly through late morning.
The central and southern coastline, including Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma, and Morro Jable, will remain mostly clear, offering long stretches of sunshine.
Temperatures remain steady, with small rises inland. Winds will be moderate from the northwest, gradually turning north as the day progresses.
Temperature range: Low of 16°C and high of 21°C.
Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria will see a typical north–south divide. Northern areas below 1,110–1,300 metres, including Las Palmas, Arucas, and surrounding slopes, begin cloudy, but skies open widely around midday.
Resort zones in the south — Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Puerto Rico — will enjoy clear, bright conditions throughout the day.
Temperatures show little change, with slight rises where cloud clears early. Winds are light from the north, shaped by coastal breezes, increasing to moderate in exposed eastern and western areas during daylight hours.
Temperature range: Low of 18°C and high of 22°C.
Tenerife
Tenerife’s north — including La Laguna, Tacoronte, and lower Anaga slopes — will have morning low cloud below 1,110–1,300 metres, which will thin out and break into broad sunny spells around midday.
The south, Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Las Américas, will see mostly clear skies, perfect for beachgoers, with only the occasional cloud interval.
Higher altitudes around Teide remain cooler with moderate temperatures and more noticeable airflow. Winds stay light from the north, strengthening to moderate northwest at altitude and in exposed terrain.
Temperature range: Low of 15°C and high of 23°C.
