The search is on for a 78-year-old called John Edward Patrick Hennessey, who is a long-term British resident in the south of Tenerife, known as Tex to his friends.
He was last seen in the cafe by the Quiron hospital in San Eugenio at 12.50pm yesterday (Thursday), but when his wife came back to the cafe after a hospital appointment at 1.40pm, he was nowhere to be seen.
He is described as being medium build with short grey/dark hair and 1.75 metres tall. He was wearing knee-length combat shorts with a dark-pink flowery pattern on a navy blue background, a red nylon sports top, and sandals, and can sometimes get confused but has never wandered off before, otherwise, his wife wouldn't have left him alone.
