The National Geographic Institute (IGN), has confirmed that the partial and low-magnitude solar eclipse scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 14th October, will be possible to observe from the Canary Islands, primarily from Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro.
"The eclipse will be possible to see as the sunset of the sun will occur shortly after its onset," said the IGN. As shown in the image from the National Geographic Institute, the partial solar eclipse will begin to be visible in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife at 7:25pm and will conclude at around 8:48pm.
"The last partial solar eclipse visible in Spain happened on October 25th last year, 2022, and the next one will take place on April 4th, 2024, with a very low magnitude (0.2), visible in the far-western Canary Islands and the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Meanwhile, the partial eclipse on March 29th, 2025, will be visible throughout Spain," says the IGN in a press release.
