A fire broke out in a restaurant located in Siam Mall on Tuesday afternoon, the busiest shopping centre in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. The emergency services were dispatched to the commercial centre after receiving an alert at around 4:00pm to tackle the flames.
The fire, which originated in the kitchen, quickly spread to the extractor hood and the false ceiling, creating a dangerous situation that required immediate action from fire crews
Thanks to the quick action of firefighters, it was brought under control before it could cause significant damage to the restaurant or spread further to other businesses in the shopping centre.
No injuries were reported by the police who were on site to help, though the restaurant did suffer serious damages, primarily in its kitchen area.
