Crew member on Jet2 flight receives urgent medical care on arrival in Lanzarote
Emergency protocols were activated at Lanzarote Airport last Sunday (17th August), after the crew of a Jet2 flight from Liverpool requested urgent medical assistance for a colleague who became unwell during the journey.
According to Spanish air traffic controllers on X, flight number LS3263 from Liverpool (LPL) to Lanzarote (ACE) was given priority clearance on approach in order to coordinate smoothly with emergency services on the ground.
On landing, an ambulance was waiting on the tarmac to provide immediate care to the affected crew member, who was attended to by medical staff at the airport.
The incident did not affect passengers or the normal operation of the flight, and both the airline and airport authorities expressed their support and well wishes for the speedy recovery of the crew member concerned.
