Temperatures continue to drop with chance of light rain this Monday
The Canary Islands will see cooler conditions today, Monday, with cloudy spells in the north of the islands and a chance of light, occasional rain by this evening, according to Spain’s national weather agency, AEMET. Elsewhere, skies will remain mostly clear.
Winds will blow moderately from the north to northeast, occasionally strong on southeast and northwest slopes. In the southwest of the mountainous islands, breezes will predominate.
Strong trade winds will also affect marine conditions, with northeast winds at force 4 to 5, strengthening to force 6 in parts of the east and west of the larger islands, as well as in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Seas will be moderate to rough, with swells bringing waves of up to one metre.

Cloudy skies in the north during the morning, clearing by midday, before increasing again later with a small chance of light, scattered showers. Elsewhere, mostly clear. Slight drop in temperatures.
Expected temperature range of 22°C to 28°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Partly cloudy early on, becoming mostly clear by midday, then turning cloudier again in the north during the evening, with a small chance of light rain. Temperatures steady, with slight decreases inland.
Expected temperature range of 22°C to 27°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Cloudy in the north below 1,000–1,100 metres altitude this morning, clearing at midday, before increasing again later with a chance of light showers, especially inland. Elsewhere mostly sunny with high cloud. Temperatures steady on the coast, dropping inland and at higher elevations.
Expected temperature range of 23°C to 27°C.
TENERIFE
Cloudy in the north below 1,100–1,200 metres this morning, clearing at midday, then increasing again later with a chance of light showers, mainly in the northeast of the island. Clearer skies elsewhere, with some high cloud. Coastal temperatures steady, but cooler inland and in the mountains.
Expected temperature range of 24°C to 29°C.
