Drunk 17-year-old crashes police car whilst live on social media

A 17-year-old male has gone viral in Spain for the wrong reasons, after he drunkenly got into the driving seat of a Police car whilst live on social media, then egged on by online viewers, he started the car and smashed it twice into the vehicle parked in front!

The surreal incident took place on Tuesday night in Burjassot in Valencia, when the teenager started an Instagram live of himself next to the police car, then realised it was empty.

According to local media reports, several patrol cars had been called to a central area of the town where a fight was taking place, but when the police arrived, the crowd dispersed forcing the agents to split up and search for the suspects on foot, leaving their cars unattended.

This particular police car was had been left quickly by officers with the doors open and the keys still in it. This opportunity was too good to miss for the 17-year-old, who visibly under the influence of alcohol recorded a live video of himself outside the car asking whether he should get in.

Egged on by online viewers, he got in the car, started it and crashed into the car in front two times, all caught in a live video on his phone which has gone viral after being massively shared on social media.

Ironically, when the police came back he had gone, however, because of the live video they were able to locate him, identify him, and charge him for criminal damage and underage drinking.

The teen is currently waiting to find out what the amount of the fine is going to be from the judicial authorities, an expensive prank... and has been grounded by his parents. (We made this last bit up, but it would be funny if he had been!)
