Christmas fun returns to Tenerife as PIT opens for 2023

The Tenerife Cabildo opened the doors of PIT (Parque Infantil y Juvenil de Tenerife) at the Recinto Ferial yesterday, bringing back the festive spirit for families once again this Christmas.

The President of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, and Vice President of the Recinto Ferial, Manuel Fernández, inaugurated this event yesterday afternoon (Friday), always a festive favourite in the Canary Islands, which will be open until January 5th.

This year over 18,000 square metres of the exhibition centre have been set up with 35 different play areas. Various recreational, physical, and educational activities are on offer to provide a high-quality and value for money experience. The organisers have emphasised the importance of maintaining a balance between entertainment and values, not financial, but between fun and learning.

A Magical Theme For 2023

This year, the PIT explores a magical realm with educational workshops that unveil the secrets of great magicians. Participants will engage in both digital and manual games, testing their skills and creativity.

As in every year, the park will offer activities for all age groups, taking place in different zones: an ice skating rink, a sports area, fairground attractions, musical and theatrical performances, environmental workshops, face painting, balloon artistry, and arts and crafts, among many others.
