A car veered off the road at a roundabout yesterday (Tuesday) in Tenerife, and crashed into a bar injuring a 45-year-old woman who was sitting at a table.
The incident took place on Avda Los Remedios in Los Realejos when staff and customers at the José Minca café had the shock of their lives when a car ploughed into the premises.
The Emergency Services were dispatched upon receiving an alert for urgent medical assistance for a woman who was hit by the car whilst sitting at a table outside the café.
According to the Local Police, the elderly driver of the car lost control whilst going round the roundabout causing the crash.
Emergency medical personnel attended to the victim at the scene, who had sustained various injuries, and after stabilising her, transferred her to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria for further treatment.
No one else was injured in the incident.
