Binter starts flights directly from the Canary Islands to Ibiza

Canarian airline, Binter, inaugurated its new route on Frida which directly connects the Canary Islands with the island of Ibiza (IBZ) once a week from Gran Canaria (LPA), with a flight time of three hours and ten minutes.

They have announced that they will be operating this route throughout July and August, making it easier for residents to visit the ‘white isle’, especially as they can get the 75% residents discount, and free access to connecting flights from other islands.

This means that the airline now has direct flights from the Canaries to all three Balearic Islands of Majorca, Menorca, and Ibiza this summer.

The inaugural flight took off from Gran Canaria Airport at 10:45pm and landed in Ibiza at 2:55am (local time), and then took off again at 3:40am arriving in Las Palmas Airport at 06:15am.

For this first flight, the airline prepared a special service giving out shots of honey rum with cream and cinnamon, together with the gift of a miniature bottle of 7-year-old Ron Arehucas, Boho Chic key chains, and LED bracelets to all passengers.

Binter operates six weekly flights between Mallorca (PMI) and the Canary Islands, with direct connections to Gran Canaria on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and with the Tenerife North airport on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The route between Menorca (MAH) and the Canary Islands is available on Tuesdays, departing at 6:35pm to land at the Gran Canaria airport (LPA) at 9:00pm, and then returns at 1:50pm arriving in Menorca at 5:55pm local time (+1 hour).
