A hot and sunny weekend with some localised showers in the Canary Islands

It’s going to be a hot and sunny weekend in most areas of the islands this weekend, with some clouds in the north, but generally clear and sunny in the south. Localised clouds in the morning will clear by noon with temperatures of 28°C, but feeling hotter on the south coasts where there will only be light breezes.

According to the AEMET, forecasts are average for this time of year now that the haze has cleared, and winds will continue from a north and north-easterly direction.

Sea conditions will be calm on the south and west coasts with only small waves, but will be bigger in the north and east where a force 5 or 6 wind will be felt. However, they do warn of a strong swell in all areas and advise caution if bathing in areas without lifeguards.
