58-year-old man loses an arm in motorbike accident in Tenerife

A 58-year-old man has been seriously injured earlier today (Friday) in an accident between a car and a motorcycle in the municipality of La Victoria in the north of Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).

CECOES have reported that the man, who was on the motorbike, has lost an arm in the accident, as well as suffering from several other serious injuries in the collision.

Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene of the accident so that he could be taken to the HUC hospital in La Laguna where he is in critical condition and receiving urgent treatment.

The Guardia Civil regulated traffic in the area and carried out the corresponding incident report to determine the cause of the accident, while the Insular Highway Centre proceeded to clean the road.
