The National Police have arrested an 18-year-old male in the vicinity of Playa del Inglés in San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria), who has an active European Arrest Warrant out for him for murder.
According to an official press release by the Canary Islands Police Headquarters, the Swedish teenager is wanted by the authorities of his country for his involvement in a crime of murder with a firearm.
Agents carried out the appropriate steps after the Swedish Police reported the possible presence of a young man wanted for murder on the island. After a short investigation, they managed to locate and arrest him in the Playa del Inglés area on July 8th.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities of Madrid, who ordered that he be detained in custody in San Bartolomé de Tirajana until he is deported back to Sweden to face sentencing for his crime.
