After leaving all islands at the same level of alert for another week, the Ministry of Health data released today seems to support their decision. 249 new cases have been detected in the Canary Islands in the last 24 hours, 141 of which are in Gran Canaria, 60 in Tenerife, 37 in Lanzarote, and 5 in Fuerteventura.
Active cases have continued to decrease to 7,263 after there were 438 medical discharges of which 249 were in Tenerife who now only have just over 2,500 actives, whereas Gran Canaria now has 3,674.
The incidence rates continued to decrease in the islands as a whole and are creeping down in Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, all be it at a slow rate, and now four of the Canary Islands have an IA7 of under 50, which are Fuerteventura (34.22), Tenerife (30.51), La Palma (18.14) and La Gomera (0.00) which continues to be Covid free.
