The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow weather warning in all of the islands, except Lanzarote, due to the arrival of a strong calima yesterday (Sunday) that can significantly reduce visibility, particularly in low-lying areas and on southern slopes.
With it, come strong winds with gusts above 75km/h at peaks, big waves as seen on coasts across the archipelago yesterday, and today rain is forecast in the western islands, not just in the north but in southern resorts as well.
