This morning the BOC has published the official agreement of the Canary Islands Governing Council that gives continuity to controls at ports and airports, the curfew and the limitation of people meeting in public and private places this weekend, when the State of Alarm officially finishes.
The agreement will come into force from 00:00 hours on May 9th after the end of the state of alarm imposed by the Central Government, has been sent to the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands for judicial ratification.
Subsequently, these are the measures that are maintained on each island:
Level 2: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, La Graciosa and El Hierro
- Curfew continues from 11:00pm to 6:00am every day.
- The maximum number of people that can meet in public and private spaces is 6, except in the case of cohabitants.
- Specific measures for hospitality:
- Interiors 50% capacity with maximum 4 people per table.
- Exteriors 75% capacity with maximum 6 people per table.
- Anywhere serving food to customers inside must keep records of customers for the Ministry of Health in case of an outbreak.
- Max 2 people at bar together.
- All must have 2 metres spacing.
- Closure at 11:00pm, home delivery allowed until midnight.
- Sport: For group activities in the interior areas of sports facilities and centres where it is not possible to maintain a safety distance of 2 metres permanently, a maximum number of 6 people per group is allowed, including the monitor
- 75% of the capacity will not be exceeded for each of the rooms and gyms.
- Non-professional federated sports activity is allowed in modalities with more than 10 people to exceed the maximum necessary for the development of the activity.
- Public transport. In the regular public urban and metropolitan land passenger transport, its capacity is maximum 50%.
- Hospitals and health care centres: external visits are limited, remaining under the supervision of the centre.
Level 1: Fuerteventura, La Gomera and La Palma
- No curfew.
- The maximum number of people that can meet in public and private spaces is 10, except in the case of cohabitants.
- Specific measures for hospitality:
- Interiors 75% capacity with maximum 10 people per table.
- Exteriors 100% capacity with maximum 10 people per table.
- Anywhere serving food to customers inside must keep records of customers for the Ministry of Health in case of an outbreak.
- Max 4 people at bar together.
- All must have 2 metres spacing.
- Closure by 1:00am, home delivery allowed until midnight.
- Sport: For group activities in the interior areas of sports facilities and centres where it is not possible to maintain a safety distance of 2 metres permanently, a maximum number of 10 people per group is allowed, including the monitor
- 75% of the capacity will not be exceeded for each of the rooms and gyms.

- Public transport: Surveillance of urban land transportation will be reinforced at peak times to avoid crowds. At peak times, avoid using public transport for non-essential or postponed trips. It is recommended to increase the frequency of public transport schedules, guaranteeing adequate ventilation and compliance with prevention measures, which include not eating or drinking and using the mask correctly.
