The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are forecasting a predominantly cloudy Tuesday with light to moderate rain across much of the Canary Islands.
However, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are expected to experience a slight rise in temperatures, particularly in the early hours.
The region has been placed under a yellow weather alert for strong winds, thunderstorms, and rough seas, effective from this morning. Maritime conditions will include southwesterly winds of force 4 to 5, locally reaching 6 in the northwest and southeast, with rough seas. A northwest swell of 2 to 3 metres is expected to intensify to 4 to 5 metres after midnight.

GRAN CANARIA:
Cloudy to overcast conditions in the southern and western areas, with possible light rainfall. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, while maximums will remain stable, except for a slight increase in northern areas. Moderate southwesterly winds with occasional strong gusts in the east and northwest, as well as in high altitudes later in the day.

TENERIFE:
Cloudy to overcast skies are expected in the morning, with a likelihood of light to moderate rain, especially on the southwestern slopes. By midday, clearer skies will emerge, though occasional light rain cannot be ruled out. There is a low chance of snow in high altitudes. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, while maximums will see little change, except in higher altitudes, where moderate drops and light frosts are anticipated. Moderate southwesterly winds will prevail, with strong gusts along the southeast slopes and very strong winds in the mountain peaks.
