Tenerife South airport opens fifteen new stores in departures

Over the last few months there has been renovation work in the departures area of the Tenerife South airport, and yesterday fifteen new stores opened giving a wider choice of shopping for departing visitors when they leave the island.

WHSmith has opened next to gates B which has ‘meal deals’ that passengers can take on board their flights, and travellers will also spot the famous Ale-Hop cow as the famous Spanish gift shop has opened offering a wide variety of surprising and innovative things to buy.

Other new outlets include the Canary Islandsa market that has products representing the culture and flavour of the islands in the form of souvenirs, local crafts, and accessories; Tenerife Pearl have also opened a store with a complete and careful selection of pearls grown in the Canary Islands; Sunglass Hut, an American store that offers sunglasses from the best brands; Oliva & Bellota, a gourmet store that offers passengers regional and local products from the best gastronomic brands.

There are also Candy Fair, with chocolates, candies and toys; Parfois, focused on fashion accessories; Superskunk (SSK), a store selling original gifts ranging from suitcases to board games, and travel items; Mango, a well-known Spanish fashion, footwear, and accessories firm; and LOL Kids, a children’s toy and accessories store that opened last month.

Next to the Departures area, at gates C, are CanaryKids, which opened in June and specializes in children’s products, and the Point convenience store (SSP group), which opened this week and sells magazines and snacks, among others.

The airport has also renovated 39 vending machines by Áreas, in the terminal area.
