Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje returns today, Monday 21st September, bringing six days of fashion, design and industry events to the south of Tenerife.

Now in its ninth edition, the event will run until Saturday 26th September, with a programme combining swimwear, workshops, professional events, model casting and sustainability initiatives at different locations across Adeje.

More than 11 specialist swimwear brands will participate, with this year's programme placing particular emphasis on locally designed fashion and giving emerging talent greater opportunities within the industry.

For the first time, fashion programmes from across the Canary Islands will be represented together. Tenerife brands taking part include Arena Negra, Ananas Wear, Waiola, LAVA, Bea de la Rosa, The Knot Company and By Loleiro.

They will be joined by Shamelu from La Palma, Machanga by Yess from La Gomera, Lislo from Gran Canaria and Macaronesia from Lanzarote.

The week's activities include fashion talks, creative workshops, a design market and a model casting, alongside initiatives connected with protecting the coastline and reducing plastic waste.

The main event comes on Saturday 26th September, when the Designers' Catwalk will be staged at Playa del Duque Norte in Costa Adeje.

The outdoor show will use the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop, with the participating swimwear and accessories brands presenting their latest collections.

Tenerife Fashion Beach was created in 2017 as a platform to promote the island's swimwear and textile industry, but has increasingly developed a second role in promoting Tenerife as a destination.

Organisers say the combination of fashion and tourism is central to the event, with Costa Adeje providing an international showcase for designers while highlighting one of Tenerife's principal holiday destinations.
