The cable car at Mount Teide will stay closed all day today, Thursday, 30th January, due to adverse weather conditions affecting much of Tenerife, but particularly the summit of the island.
This announcement has been made by Volcano Teide on its official social media profiles.
The Spanish Met Office (AEMET) has updated its warnings for the Canary Islands, issuing alerts for strong winds and rough seas for both today and tomorrow (Friday).
In response, the Canary Islands Government has also maintained its pre-alert for these adverse conditions across the archipelago.
The public are advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates and follow official guidance to ensure safety, especially in exposed areas or at the coast.
