Police in Tenerife are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a remote cabin near Roque de las Bodegas in the Anaga mountain range. The grim finding was reported on Thursday evening (12th December), by a friend of the victim, who alerted the Emergency Services.
The cabin, located in a hard-to-reach ravine in the northeastern part of the Anaga massif, became the focal point of an immediate response.
The Local Police in Santa Cruz were notified and dispatched a patrol to secure the area overnight while investigators initiated their work.
At present, the circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear. Forensic teams are still working on-site to establish the cause and the likely timeframe of the fatality.
The secluded location of the cabin and the challenging terrain have added complexity to the investigation.
As efforts to uncover further details continue, the incident has brought attention to the rugged and isolated areas of Tenerife, where such discoveries, though rare, highlight the challenges faced by the emergency services in ensuring safety and swift response.
Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
